Vision:

To create an environment where student athletes in Portland Public Schools needing academic support, in particular black and native students, can flourish by providing culturally relevant curriculum and teaching practices, culturally specific staff (teachers, coaches, mentors), math related exposure education and culturally specific social emotional support. 

Purpose:

The Trajectory Program is a coordinated effort between OTL, PIL Athletics and SUN Schools customized to meet the individual math needs of student athletes in Portland Public Schools needing academic support, in particular black and native students. The extended summer program offers students rigorous, relevant and accelerated math instruction, reinforced with character building, leadership development, math exposure educational trips and high expectations.
